While studying the pfd of a process, you observed that a reactive system is immediately followed by a direct quench cooler where water is sprayed to decrease the temperature of the product rapidly. reactor outlet temperature is very high so heat could have been recovered. cite at least one reason you think the quench was provided without heat recovery.
