hbr(aq)+naoh(aq)⟶h2o(l)+nabr(aq)
the only acid or base on the product side is water, so the ph is determined entirely using the dissociation of water, in which the water-dissociation constant is kw=[h+][oh−]=10−14. therefore, both [h+] and [oh−] are equal to 10−7 at the equivalence point.
