What is the experimental molar heat of combustion? I’m doing the Heat of Combustion Lab and I’ve gotten everything else I’m just so confused by this question. Please help!

Molar Heat of Combustion (molar enthalpy of combustion) of a substance is the heat liberated when 1 mole of the substance undergoes complete combustion with oxygen at constant pressure. By definition, the heat of combustion (enthalpy of combustion, ΔHc) is minus the enthalpy change for the combustion reaction, ie, -ΔH.

the old alchemists made significant contributions to science even though there starting premises were off a bit. their conclusions after failure would steer them into better directions for investigation. science is no more than close observation and the initial mistakes result in rethinking and retrying experiments.
