Copper metal was added to an aqueous solution of iodine to produce aqueous copper(I) iodide during a lab procedure. To collect the solid copper(I) iodide, students evaporated the water from the solution over a Bunsen burner. The mass of the solid was measured in the evaporating dish after it had cooled.
Mass of copper = 12.526 g
Mass of empty evaporating dish = 10.505 g
Mass of evaporating dish with product = 50.604 g

Calculate the theoretical yield of the product.
Calculate the experimental yield.
