The reaction of Cr(CO)6 with Ph2P(CH2)4PP h2 leads to the formation of two products, Aand B. The 31P NMR spectrum of Ashows two signals (δ +46.0 and –16.9 ppm, relative integrals 1:1), while that of Bexhibits one signal (δ +46.2 ppm). The IR spectrum of A and Bare almost identical in the region 2200 –1900 cm–1, with bands at 2063, 1983, and 1937 cm–1. Suggest identities for Aand B.
