In the laboratory, a students mixes 2 solutions of water. The first solution contains an acid dissolved in water and has a mass of 75g. The second solution contains a base dissolved in water and also has a mass of 75g. When the student mixes the solutions together in a foam cup calorimeter, the temperature of the resulting solution raises by 35 ∘ C . How much heat in kilojoules was released by this reaction?
