Students have seen that heating a liquid can turn it into a gas (evaporation), but this
is a reversible process: cooling a gas sufficiently turns it into a liquid, in a process
called condensation. In the following experiment, students will investigate
condensation
1. Run a cloth under a tap to make it wet and then squeeze it to remove the excess
water.
2. Place the cloth inside a plastic bag. Trap some air inside the bag and seal it.
3. Leave the bag in a warm place, such as under a light or in direct sunlight for one
hour.
You and your lab partners followed the instructions and observed the formation of
condensation in the bag. You wonder what could increase the condensation. Which
of these actions would result in increased condensation in the bag?
Place Ice cubes near the bag
Freeze the wet cloth
Put hot water on the cloth
put the bag in a warmer place

During trial 2, what allowed you to determine that aluminum was the limiting reactant? check all that apply. all of the copper dissolved. all of the aluminum dissolved. the solution turned clear. the number of grams of copper(ii) chloride used in the reaction was greater than the number of grams of aluminum. the molar ratio of copper(ii) chloride to aluminum was greater than 3: 2, the equation’s molar ratio.
