1. Since we now the amount of baking soada and that of vinegar,, we weigh the plastic bag.then Pour the  baking soda into the vinegar in a plastic bag and close it.

2. We mix the two by rubbing the plastic bag for proper mixing and  the reaction to occur.

3.The reaction forms sodium acetate, with the the evolution of trapped co2 gas and water.

 4. we weigh the plastic bag together with the products formed inside the  

We would find out that  The combined mass of the products would be equal to what each component weighed  on its  own.

Mass of reactants (baking soda + vinegar) = Mass of products (Sodium acetate + Carbon dioxide+ water)
