Suppose that on a particular day, the atmospheric pressure supports a column of water to a height of 2.70 m. Required:
a. Calculate the corresponding atmospheric pressure in pascals.
b. Calculate the height in meters for a column of mercury required to support this same atmospheric pressure. The density of water is 1.00 g/cm' and the density of mercury is 13.6 g/cm.
