A piece of metal (mass = 125.0 g) at 101 °C is placed in a styrofoam coffee cup containing 75.0 g of water at 21 °C . After several minutes the temperature stops changing and is found to be 31 °C. Assuming that no heat was lost to the cup or the surroundings, what is the specific heat capacity of the metal? The specific heat capacity of water = 4.184 J/g°C.
