how would you explain that after putting in the same amount of heat, the two materials have different temperatures?

one material is probably a conductor of heat, which means it absorbs it much better and faster while the other material isn't a conductor and it's taking time to heat up

i just calculated it all out, and not including weekends, and all the different days off. as of this school year (2018-2019) students are spending 2198 hours in school this year

the transfer of heat by electromagnetic radiation is called thermal radiation . it is usually carried out by electromagnetic waves in an energy range just below the visible spectrum, which is the infrared range.

so the answer would be radiation.
