Observation: I want to know what effect salt has on the growth of grass. So I measure out 3 equal sized squares of
grass out the back of the Green Building. The first square of lawni water with slitres of pure water from a watering
can every day. The second square of lawn I water with 5 litres of pure water with 2 grams of salt mixed in, every
day. The third square of lawn I water with S litres of pure water with 4.rams of salt mixed in, every day. I measure
the height of the grass after 14 days and note the following observations. The first square is green and 15 cm high,
The second square is greeny yellow and 6 cm high. The third square is yellowy brown and looks dead and is only 2
high
What could we infer about the affect salt has on the growth of grass?

Consider the reaction: 2al(s) + fe2o3(s) → al2o3(s) + 2fe(s) the δhf for fe2o3(s) = -824.3 kj/mole. the δhf for al2o3(s) = -1675.7 kj/mole. finish the equation. δhrxn = [(1)( kj/mole) + (2)( kj/mole)] - [(1)( kj/mole) + (2) ( kj/mole)]
