HELPPP On the illustration above , you have a diagram of paper chromatography . The ink spots are represented at the bottom of the paper and the separated dyes are at different distances towards the top of the paper Why do the components of the dyes move to different heights?

The components move towards different height because of their density as the water is being absorbed by the paper the water would take the components which has lower density up and would let the lower density component to remain in its place
