As a rough estimate, there is 1x1012 metric tonnes of fossil (carbon) fuels on Earth. In 2013 it was estimated that 1x108 metric tonnes of carbon was burnt. Assuming that we continued to burn carbon at this rate, calculate how long the fossil carbon will last.
