When squeezed, what happens to the pressure inside the bottle?

Boyle’s Law States: PV=k where P is pressure, V is volume, and k is a constant (the number must stay the same). If the pressure inside the sauce packet goes up, what must happen to the volume of air inside the packet to maintain the same value of constant “k”?

From Boyle’s Law, we know that pressure and volume are “inversely proportional.” What does this mean?

The formula for density is where “m” is mass and “V” is volume. If the volume inside the packet decreases, what would happen to the density of the air inside the packet?

The density of water is 1.00 . Why does the packet sink when the bottle is squeezed?

Self Crushing Can:

Explain why the can collapsed using the Combine Gas Law: where T1 is the initial temperature (hotter) of the air inside the can before the can was inverted and T2 is the temperature of the air inside the can after it was plunged into the ice water. Focus on the effect that temperature had on the pressure.

Did the can need to be inverted? Why or why not?

Water was added to the bottom of the can and allowed to boil before the can was inverted. Why do you think water needed to be added to the bottom of the can?
