Hypotheses - Read steps 1-4 below and write an if/then statement

1. Put on your safety goggles.
2. Use the funnel to pour 120mL of hydrogen peroxide into the plastic
bottle.
3. Place 3 drops of food coloring into the hydrogen peroxide.
4. Add a tablespoon of dish soap to the hydrogen peroxide and food
coloring. Swirl the mixture around in the plastic bottle.
Check for Understanding
Does mixing the food coloring and hydrogen peroxide create a new
substance? Explain why or why not.
5. Stir the yeast into the warm water. Let it sit for 30 seconds.
6. Use the funnel to pour the yeast mixture into the bottle and record your
observations below.
