What is the difference between a compound and mixture?

A mixture contains at least two different kinds of molecules or elements that can be physically separated. An elements is a substance in which - same type of atoms added together : H2, Na, C, & Ne. A compound is a substance in which different atoms added together in a fixed ratio.
