ompound 1h (1.25 g, 5.20 mmol) was dissolved in hot MeOH (20 mL), to which 1N NaOH (10 mL, 10.0 mmol) was added. The mixture was heated under reflux for 1 h and then more water (50 mL) was added. The aqueous layer was neutralized by addition of 1M HCl (15 mL). The precipitated crude product was collected by filtration, which was recrystallized from MeOH to give a yellow solid 1k.
