In the Grignard reaction. The benzoic acid product (abbreviate PhCO2H) was separated from the impurity biphenyl (abbreviated Ph-Ph) through an extraction with aqueous NaOH which deprotonated benzoic acid and converted it into sodium benzoate (abbreviated PhCO2Na). After the Grignard reagent, phenylmagnesium bromide was mixed with CO2, it was mixed with additional ether and 6M H2SO4. This gave a two phase liquid mixture. The upper layer was separated and extracted with 5% NaOH solution to give another two phase liquid mixture. What was dissolved in the top layer

Identify the limiting reactant when 9.65-g h2so4 reacts with 6.10-g of naoh.the equation is h2s04 + 2naoh = 2h2o + na2so4• what is the theoretical yield of na2so4, in grams? • how much of the excess reagent will remain after the reaction has been completed? • if 10.5-g of na2so4 are actually recovered experimentally, what is the percent yield?

Question 17 hydrogen is manufactured on an industrial scale by this sequence of reactions: +ch4gh2og ⇌ +cog3h2g k1 +cogh2og ⇌ +co2gh2g k2 the net reaction is: +ch4g2h2og ⇌ +co2g4h2g k write an equation that gives the overall equilibrium constant k in terms of the equilibrium constants k1 and k2. if you need to include any physical constants, be sure you use their standard symbols, which you'll find in the aleks calculator.
