Let’s assume that other salts found in hard water are: LiF, MgCl2, NaBr, BeI2, AlCl3, and CaCl2. The more ionic a compound is (more ionic character it has), the more dissociation of its ions is generated and potential harm when ingested. Having said that: A. Choose TWO of these salts and determine which of the them is more potentially harmful, considering its ionic character.
B. Show the Lewis structure in each case (the TWO chosen ones), indicating transfer of electrons.
C. Write the electron configurations of the elements before and after the transference of electrons, and explain their meaning (for your TWO salts).
