Imagine equal amounts of thermal energy are added at the same rate to equal masses of antifreeze (sp ht 2.38 J/g °C), liquid mercury (sp ht 0.138 J/g °C).
Assume they both start at the same temperature (10 °C) and the mercury ends up at 40 °C.
