3. Adam wishes to make a battery which can generate electrical energy from the following
reaction:
Fe$O, (aq) + Mg(s) - MgSO (aq) + Fe(s)
As well as access to all common laboratory
equipment, Adam also has the following
chemicals at his disposal:
an aqueous solution of Feso. (1 M)
an aqueous solution of MgSO, (1 M)
an aqueous solution of KNO,
strips of Mg metal and Fe metal
Draw a labelled diagram to show how Adam
could use the above materials to generate a
battery and measure its voltage. Identify the
laboratory equipment he will need.
