Consider the following data for questions 1-6: Two solutions of an unknown slightly soluble salt, A(OH)2, were allowed to equilibriate- one at 25 degrees celsius and the other at 80 degrees celsius. A 15.00 mL- aliquor of each solution is titrated with 0.200 M HCl. 8.00 mL of the acid is required to reach the endpoint of the titration at 25 degrees celsius, while 69.15 mL are required for the 80 degrees celsius solution. 1. Calculate the Ksp at 25 degrees celsius.
2. calculate the Ksp at 80 degrees celsius.
3. calculate the Gibbs free energy (in Kj/mol) at 25 degree celcius.
4. calculate the Gibbs free energy (in Kj/mol) at 80 degrees celsius.
5. assuming that the change in enthalpy is negligible over this temperature range, calculate \Delta H^o.
6. assuming that the change in entropy is negligible over this temperature range, calculate \Delta S^o.

The boiling point of propanoic acid is higher than that of 1-butanol because: propanoic acid has a higher molecular weight than 1-butanol. propanoic acid is more soluble in water than 1-butanol. propanoic acid is a better hydrogen bond donor than 1-butanol. propanoic acid forms hydrogen bonded dimers and 1-butanol does not. 1-butanol forms hydrogen bonded dimers and propanoic acid does not.
