Yall so, to find the charge of an atom you just have - for example- an atom with 8 protons, 8 neutrons, and 8 electrons . The charge would be neutral right? Now if you took away a electron the charge would be positive right? And if you had 7 protons, 8 neutrons, and 8 electrons the charge would be negative? Is that how it works?
