Although the discharged wet biomass does not adsorb glutamic acid, it is able to retain this acid in the solution removed together with it. a) Draw the process flow diagram of the centrifuge and label it appropriately.
b) Prove that the degree of freedom analysis for this process is equal to 1.
c) If the mass fraction of water in the discharged biomass is 0.1, calculate the mass fraction of biomass and mass flow rates for discharged biomass stream as well as the decanted solution
