Methylamine, CH_3NH_2, is a derivative of ammonia that is also able to escape as a gas from its solutions. If methylamine solution had been used in this experiment instead of ammonia, how would the position of the white ring have been affected? Would the white ring have formed closer to the HCl end of the tube than when ammonia was used, or farther away from the HCl end of the tube? Explain.
