How does the study of science benefit society ?

A non scientist cant run the same experiments as a scientist because there is specific equiptment that you may need and it can be hard to get your hands on them. The study of science does not slow down society I don't think the study of science keeps more people employed than any other industry, there's a lot but it's not overall So that leaves the last option which is true you see it in medicine a lot after much experimentation it tries to fix an illness that we have in society

How does the study of science benefit society?

Science is applied everywhere in the society: industry, labs, home. Science helps to keep more of population recruited for many job opportunities, such as doctors. Even though, you might not be a doctor, you might still get into fields that are non- science, leaving you employed. Science gives a big helping hand in the real problems of society.
