Why is it easier to separate a heterogeneous mixture than a homogeneous mixture?

Heterogeneous mixtures aren't uniform in composition like homogeneous mixtures. Heterogeneous mixtures have both parts separated in the solution whereas homogeneous mixtures are already mixed together so you must painstakingly separate them.Hope I helped!
