The majority of the precipitation, which reaches the ground, in reality, develops in the form of snow high in the atmosphere. The formation of snowflakes takes place at the temperature above the freezing level, that is, less than 32 degrees F, and starts to fall towards the Earth in the form of snow.  

However, if the temperature of the ground is more than 32 degrees F, the level of freezing must be situated at some level above the ground. The snow that falls goes through the level of freezing into the warmer air, and here it gets melt and transforms into rain before contacting the ground.  

the ideal gas law equation is as follows

pv = nrt

where p - pressure

v - volume

n - number of moles

r - universal gas constant

t - temperature

so if the pressure, volume and temperature are already known

we are left with n and r

since r is the universal gas constant that has a known fixed value then r too is known

so we are left with 'n'

once we know temperature volume and pressure

we can find the number of moles of gas present using the ideal gas law equation
