Is alcohol a hydrocarbonis alcohol a hydrocarbon

Alcohols are not hydrocarbons.by definition, hydrocarbons are only made up of hydrogen and carbon.by definition, alcohols have at least one group of  -oh.  since alcohols have oxygen, they can't be considered a hydrocarbon. (alcohols may contain hydrocarbons groups, but that doesn't necessarily classify them as hydrocarbons themselves.) 

I’d have to say no because without oxygen in the water the fish would all be dead. so if you want to fish for dead fish, pick the ponds with the lowest oxygen concentrations.
