Friction helps us stand where we are. the friction between our shoe and the floor keeps us upright. without friction we would be sliding all over the place

friction helps obvjects stay where they are also. without friction objects would constantly be sliding around as there would be no force to hold them in place.

friction helps cars to travel the way they do. without friction cars would be sliding on the road as there would be no friction between the wheels and the road. notice how when the surface is icey, cars are more likely to collide. this is because there is less friction since it depends on the type of surface. friction prevents cars from colliding and causing accidents
