According to Bronsted-Lowery Concept, An Acid is a specie which can donate H⁺ and Base is a specie which tends to accept H⁺.

In equation given as,

                                HCl₍g₎ + H₂O₍l₎   →   H₃O⁺₍aq₎ + Cl⁻₍aq₎
