Even though Microsoft won't admit to it, Access can be very intimidating it can be intimidating enough that it can trigger a cold sweat in the most confident person who works in the office. Although  Microsoft has spent millions maybe billions of dollars making Access easier for people to use, a lot of people still think of it as a very complicated Office program on the block.

Access may seem like a very difficult Office program because of the way that theirs and other databases work. Commonly, databases should have strict rules. Other programs are not very obsessive as Office program is. Here is an example, you can type up a word, and be able to start writing and typing letters in a very fast time. Or as another example, you can just start excel and it will launch you right into a financial report. But especially Access isn't as free going as we would like it too. Before they allow you to enter a stitch information zone into an access database, you would have to create a database structure before accessing it. Even after you have been able to define that the structure, you will probably want to spend a lot more time being able to create other tools that can be useful to you like let's say a handy search routine and some friendly forms that can allow you to simplify data and lookup the data entry.
