This weeks assignment will should introduce you to the concept of libraries or sets of code written for specific hardware which make it easier for a user to run the hardware. you will also be exposed to reading digital sensors because many sensors don’t communicate over analog signals. last you should familiarize yourself with interrupts and transistors for switches.

assignment:

imagine you have a reservoir that you want to maintain with the proper amount of water. the only things you have are an arduino, a valve you control with a servo motor and a distance sensor. you place the sensor above the water so as the water rises you sense it and close the valve more and more till some point. you will also want to be able to press a button to turn on/off the power to the valve using an interrupt. for this assignment you won't be expected to construct the reservoir but you will need to connect all the components and program it as if it were going to be assembled.
