Web Design Project This week, you will create a website using the information that you gathered while writing your research paper.

Directions:

The final website must include the following information related to your research paper:

Home page
Create a Web page using the following HTML tags:
basic tags (head, body, title)
insert an image
create a link
table tags
ordered and unordered list
At least 2 web pages that link to the Home page
Images
Link to the blog you created
Link to the wiki you created
Creating the home page:

Create the home page for your website using the basic XHTML codes to create a web page.
Name the home page index. html
Use the information from your research paper to add the basic content to your home page.
You will continue to add to the home page during the course. By the end of the semester, you will link your research paper to your web page, images related to you research, research paper blog, research paper wiki and research paper presentation.
You will create the website content pages using the basic XHTML codes. Save the content pages using appropriate filenames.
Adding Links (Internal and External):

Add Internal Links as your Navigation menu – Add links at the top of each page OR along the left side of each page that contain links to every content page in your website. Include at least two links. You can use table tags to store each link in a separate table cell. Make sure that you test the links.

For example: (sample links at top of page)

Home Women's Clothing Men's Clothing Children's Clothing Checkout

For example: (sample links on left side of page)

Home
Women's Clothing
Men's Clothing
Children's Clothing
Checkout

Add External Links: The content pages should include a link to the blog that you created and a link to the wiki that you created.
Locating and adding images:

Your website must include at least one of the following on each content page. The images must be related to your research paper topic:
Original artwork related to your research paper topic: Original artwork created by you in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, MS Paint or other graphics software. A single colored or plain gif or jpeg does not satisfy this requirement. Using this gif or jpeg as a background gif will not satisfy this requirement.
Original digital photograph relevant your research paper topic: A photo that you have taken; file must be in a gif or jpeg format.
Public domain (or freeware) clipart/pictures/photographs (e. g., gif image) related to your research paper topic. Be sure to get permission from the owner before including clipart/pictures/photographs that are copyrighted.
Note: On the web, if it does not say the image is free, you must consider the image to be copyrighted and thus, you need to have permission to use the image/picture in your website. I recommend documenting the copyright information for all of your images as you go because you will need to provide citations for them.
Search the Internet for images related to your research paper topic to use for your website project. (You can also use personal digital photographs and images that you create, as described above.)
Create a folder on your computer named Images.
Store the images in the Images folder that you created on your computer
Hosting Your Website:

Host your website on NOVA's server: In the Discussion Board, you practiced hosting files on your NOVA student webspace. Now you can bring over your personal website files to the server. Open the URLs in your browser to test them.
Submitting Your Assignment

Submit Link to the website.

This program reads a file called 'test.txt'. you are required to write two functions that build a wordlist out of all of the words found in the file and print all of the unique words found in the file. remove punctuations using 'string.punctuation' and 'strip()' before adding words to the wordlist. write a function build_wordlist() that takes a 'file pointer' as an argument and reads the contents, builds the wordlist after removing punctuations, and then returns the wordlist. another function find_unique() will take this wordlist as a parameter and return another wordlist comprising of all unique words found in the wordlist. example: contents of 'test.txt': test file another line in the test file output: ['another', 'file', 'in', 'line', 'test', 'the']
