Saline solution is a mixture of sodium chloride and water and has a number of uses in medicine. when administered via an iv drip it can be an effective treatment for dehydration. a cylindrical bag, as shown below, of radius 10 cm and height 50 cm contains saline solution that is provided to a patient as an iv gravity drip. a gravity drip is used to infuse the solution into the patient's blood stream. the solution flows downwards into a hole of 1 mm at the bottom of the bag. the only resistance presented is the viscous resistance through the tubing. determine the time it will take for the bag to empty by 90%.
