A200 m3 swimming pool has been overly chlorinated by accidently
dumping an entire
container of chlorine, which amounted to 500 grams. this creates a
chlorine
concentration well in excess of the 0.20 mg/l that was the
objective at the time. with
which volumetric rate (in l/min) of freshwater should the pool be
flushed to decrease the
concentration to the desired level in 36 hours? you may assume the
chlorine does not
degrade chemically during those hours.

Amass of 1.5 kg of air at 120 kpa and 24°c is contained in a gas-tight, frictionless piston-cylinder device. the air is now compressed to a final pressure of 720 kpa. during the process, heat is transferred from the air such that the temperature inside the cylinder remains constant. calculate the boundary work input during this process.

Water in a partially filled large tank is to be supplied to the roof top, which is 8 m above the water level in the tank, through a 2.2-cm-internal-diameter pipe by maintaining a constant air pressure of 300 kpa (gage) in the tank. if the head loss in the piping is 2 m of water, determine the discharge rate of the supply of water to the roof top in liters per second.

Air flows over a heated plate àt a velocity of 50m/s. the local skin factor coefficient at a point on a plate is 0.004. estimate the local heat transfer coefficient at this point.the following property data for air are given: density = 0.88kg/m3 , viscosity 2.286 x 10 ^-5 kgm/s , k = 0.035w/mk ,cp = 1.001kj/kgk. use colburn reynolds analogy.
