Amechanical component is subjected to simultaneous axial, bending, and torsion loads so that the following stresses are predicted at its critical point:

∙ constant thrust (axial) stress 0 mpa
∙ bending stress in the range −35 to 175 mpa
∙ torsion with a mean stress 105 mpa and a superposed stress 12.6 mpa alternating in phase with the bending stress (their minimum and maximum values occur simultaneously).
the component has a notch with kf−axial=1.1,kf−bending=1.4,kf−tors ion=2. the material is steel with sy=300,sut=400,se=200 mpa (including modifying factors).
calculate:

∙ the (static) yield safety factor ηy.
∙ the fatigue safety factor ηf for infinite life, using the modified goodman criterion.
