Plot the volume flowrate (Q) in gal/min versus the pressure drop across the obstruction orifice (p). The relationship between pressure drop and volume flowrate should approximately go as follows Q=b(∆P)^α where b (dimensional) and  (dimensionless) are constants. Replot Q vs. P on a log-log plot. Does the data fall on a straight line? Estimate values for b and  for this range of volume flowrates. Develop an ideal theoretical relationship between Q and P. Compare your experimental values of b and  with the values expected from the ideal theory. Discuss possible reasons for differences.
