A shaft 1.5 m long and diameter 10 mm has one end rigidly fixed to a frame support and the
other carries a rotor of inertia 0.045 kgm². If the period of free vibration of the system is 1.5
second,
i) Determine the modulus of rigidity of the material of shaft.

ii) If the amplitude of the oscillation is 10°, determine the maximum values of the velocity
and acceleration.
