A 150 mm long tie rod in a car engine is loaded in uniaxial tension. The tie rod must not extend more than 1 mm under the maximum applied stress of 30 MPa. Specify a constraint for elastic modulus which can be used to screen out materials that cannot be used in this application. Assume that the tie rod material remains elastic at this level of stress.
