In unidirectional fiber-reinforced polymeric composites , the reinforcing fibers are the source for the increase in the stiffness and the strength of the resulting composite. The recommended volume fraction of fibers is usually 0.7 . Can we use higher volume fractions of fibers ,say 0.9 , in order to increase the strength and stiffness of the composite
