Air at 18 bar enters a two-stage turbine with reheat operating at steady state. The overall pressure ratio across the stages is 18. Reheat occurs at the pressure that maximizes total turbine work per unit mass of air flowing. The temperature at the inlet of each turbine stage is 1400 K and each stage operates isentropically. When the temperature of the air entering each turbine stage is the same, the maximum total work per unit of mass flowing is developed when the pressure ratio is the same across each stage. Assuming the ideal gas model with k = 1.4 for the air, determine:

a. the reheater pressure, in bar.
b. for each turbine stage the work developed per unit mass of air flowing, in kJ/kg.
c. for the reheater the heat transfer per unit mass of air flowing, in kJ/kg.
