Frictional effects are negligible in the nozzle and in the flow along the plate surface. Evaluate the minimum gage pressure required at the nozzle inlet. Calculate the magnitude and direction of the force exerted by the water stream on the inclined plate. Sketch the pressure distribution along the surface of the plate. Explain why the pressure distribution is shaped the way you sketched it. Consider the nozzle to be 1 m in depth into the plane of the paper.
