A steam power plant that produces 5 MW of electric power operates on an ideal Rankine cycle between the pressure limits of 10 kPa and 3.5 MPa. Steam enters the turbine at 400oC. In the condenser, the steam is cooled by cooling water with mass flow rate of 200 kg/s. Determine the thermal efficiency of the cycle, the mass flow rate of the steam, and the temperature rise of the cooling water.
