A 230 V DC, 1, 600 RPM shunt connected motor has an armature resistance of 0.25 Ohm and a brush resistance of 0.25 Ohm; brush voltage drop of 5.0 V, independent of load. The resistance of the shunt field is 230 Ohm. The frill load rated line current is 55 A. When the motor is operated at no load the line current is 4 A and the speed is 1810 RPM. A. Calculate the actual speed at rated load.
B. Calculate the speed at 1/2 rated load.
C. At rated load determine the power delivered to the coupling field.
