Paris, knowing nothing of this goes to Friar Laurence to ask him to marry him to Juliet. There he accidentally meets Juliet, who has come to ask for a poison that makes her appear dead to avoid marrying Paris. In Act V, Scene III, Paris is at Juliet's grave bringing her some flowers when he sees Romeo at the tomb. He tries to arrest Romeo, who has come from exile and they start fighting and Romeo kills him. He is an outside pressure that escalates a conflict.
