Idk if your gonna like this but here: Did you ever think of how many drops of water are left behind? Well we do it everyday which is not really good. For example we waste it when we pour a cup of water and you leave it on your table but you’re too busy on your iPad or iPhone or any type of electronics that you don’t even notice you’ve left your water behind. This is not good because according to resources from maps wide world there’s 1% of clean water. Much of the world’s 1% clean water is trapped in glaciers and snowfields. So if your gonna waste water you’re wasting some precious resources of survival. Water is a very important way you can survive. If you leave your water behind too much that can be a lack of hydration when other people don’t even have access to drink water because they’re poor.

You may need to give the question to properly create the introduction. If it was an argumentative question, the approach to writing the intro may be different from when it is an expository question. Also, you would need to know the main focus of the essay in order to properly write the thesis statement. You may not need to begin with a rhetorical question too, but I'm out of ideas too so here is one. (Sorry if it's boring)

Need some water? Sure, just find the nearest tap and take as much water as you like. Sounds like a perfectly normal thing that we often do in our daily lives, does it? Yet, water wastage is currently one of the most pressing issues across the globe. With that being said, how much water did we actually take from that tap? Our water consumption is more than just excessive in our developed societies today and many of these factors can be attributed to our everyday choices.
