60 points and brainliest to the first to correct my horrendous grammar mistakes : p
hey, i flew through this essay and i'm going to go over it but i would like someone to correct it before i do so that i can make sure there are no mistakes. the essay is a story about yourself so thats why i say me and i a lot in it.

who would’ve thought that a child’s dream job was in their grasp? ! when i was in kindergarten we had to write about our dream job. i thought about it for a while and wrote down that i wasn’t sure yet, but that i wanted it to do with animals. i had two cats at the time and they always made my day when i went home from school. fast forward a couple years and my cat had to be put down due to an illness. the veterinarians there were so kind, they comforted my sister and i when they brought her outside in the box so that we could bring our cat home.
a few months after the encounter with the vet, they asked us, again, at school what we wanted to be what we were older. i thought about it for a minute, then it clicked. i wanted to be a veterinarian. i would be able to people smile and animals feel better with this career.
the next year, after i wrote down that i wanted to be a veterinarian, i was in the 4th grade and it was time for the job fair! (the job fair was something that my elementary school held to introduce kids to many different types of jobs such as: firefighter, electrician, karate sensei, nurse, doctor, home decorator, vets, etc.…) the teachers released us to the fair and told us to go to the job that interested us the most. all of my classmates immediately ran to the ones with all the flashy colors, like the firefighters because they had their trucks. i just stood there looking around, i didn’t even know if they had a veterinary booth there. then my eyes widened, and a smile broke out, i found the booth i was looking for. i skipped over, and an older lady smiled at me. she said, “so it looks like you are interested in veterinary work; believe it or not, not many kids your age want to go through with this career.” i told her the story about how a vet was so kind to me when my cat had to be put down and that it inspired me.
the lady and i talked at the booth for a while before the teachers rang the bell and we had to go back to our classes. the next year i waited for the job fair and i looked around for the veterinary booth again. it wasn’t there that year, or many years after that. i forgot about it for a couple years and i got into music. because of the many instruments i played for the band i didn’t have much of a chance to think of any other job because all the teachers told me that i would probably pursue a career in music.
at the end of the 7th grade i applied for a private homeschool and got in. when i started this new homeschool in the 8th grade i also started taking piano, voice, and irish dance lessons; still had no time to think about a veterinary career. i was advancing in irish dance quickly for a late beginner, most kids start at age 5-7. i was going to go feis just after 2 years, but then they got rid of the irish dance program at the dance school i was going to. in the 10th grade i was only doing piano and music as an extra activity and that still kept me very busy.
in the 10th grade i remembered that i wanted to be a vet, but i also wanted to graduate early. when the summer came along i enrolled into penn foster and discovered that they had a vet tech program. i made the decision that i would work my butt off and get school done so that i could start early and get the best education i possibly could at a young age.
since i joined penn foster in april i have been working hard on my studies so that i can get into college early and pursue my childhood dream of becoming a vet.
