For that reason, the narrator decides not to give in by acting in a way that is not part of her nature or essence.

That is something that might happen to all of us, since everyone has got a little bit of Mr. Hyde within, even if it is hidden and never to be found. Plus, not everybody is comfortable with displaying this "evil" side of theirs, like the girl in "Two Kinds."
